The South Oxfordshire Food and Education Academy (SOFEA) is hosted an Open Evening, a fantastic opportunity to come along and see what they do. We heard out about training for 16-24 year olds, access to their into work service, volunteering, work experience and the Fareshare food offer of redirecting good quality food, which would otherwise go to waste, to the people who need it most. Training opportunities are open to every student who would like the option of an alternative to college before entering the world of work.
“We are not a usual progression route, but that is why we are here, to offer a real and rigorous alternative way of learning and making that progression to employment. We look forward to greeting as many people as possible.”
Sustainable Wallingford has been using food from SOFEA at its recent events during the last year and loves this inspiring charity.
