In October 2018 Sustainable Wallingford held their first Neighbourhood Nosh event, pulling the community together for a shared meal using food from Fare Share at Didcot that would otherwise have gone to waste.

Some people came alone, some bought their neighbours, some came as a family — approximately 50 people attended in all.  Local musicians played low key music for a while, and a very enjoyable evening was had, and lots of new connections made. When we asked if those who attended would like the event repeated, the answer was a resounding yes.

Our next event was on Saturday February 16th 2019. For those who came to join in the preparations fun, laughter and a bit of madness prevailed over chopping, peeling, cooking and being creative; contact us if you would like to help or share your skills on sw@sustainablewallingford.org.

A big thank you to all those who helped with and attended these first events, and made them such a success. We had a pause during the pandemic! Now we have lost our cook, would anyone like to help us out with this?

Everyone is welcome to join us for future events, watch the website and our Facebook and twitter posts for dates.
