Sep 29 @ 9:45 am – 11:00 am

Pass on items which are clean, safe and genuinely reusable, once you have finished with them. Everyone is welcome to bring things for reuse, or to take things away; you need not bring anything before you can take anything, for free. No money changes hands, although donations are always welcome.

This event is now held alongside our repair cafe, make sure you pop into both

Wallingford Repair Cafe @ Centre 70
Sep 29 @ 10:00 am – 1:00 pm

Wallingford’s Repair Café encourages a “Fix-it” attitude and reduce electrical waste. Items repaired at earlier events have included a sewing machine, vacuum cleaner, cuddly toy and remote control car.

Tool sharpening and bike maintenance are among the services being offered to keep gardening tools and bicycles going.  There are experts for electrical/electronic and textile repairs plus electrical safety testing and ad hoc repairs like gluing.  Only minor repairs and maintenance can be undertaken due to time constraints but generally, the experts on hand will advise visitors how to complete the repairs or maintenance themselves where safe to do so.  Sharing skills with visitors is one of the group’s aims to help more people consider repair or maintenance instead of the rubbish bin when an item breaks.

We have a can-do attitude and also have drinks and homemade cakes!
